Full moon Half Dome Hike
Yosemite National Park

2:00pm- rest

4:30pm- store up energy

LOTS of energy

11:19pm- leave Curry Village parking lot; start walking up... for the next 9 miles

10:00pm- set up tent for non-hikers

5:00pm- figure out where we're headed

midnight, next day- flashlights are waning, but the full moon lights the way up

5:00am- still walking...

6:16am- Ksenya and Alyssa: the classic Half Dome pic on the edge

6:08am- Allison and Sarah

6:11am- Tiffany

6:30am- Just the five of us... We're the first and only people above 8000 feet today

7:something- begin the journey down to 4000 feet

7:47am- the scariest and most fun part of the whole hike: the cables

9:14am- beautiful rainbow at Nevada Falls

9:45am- nine hours, eight point two miles (one way from the sign), seven thousand steps, six hundred people (passed by on the way up), five dirty backpacks, four bathroom breaks, three Clif Bars (each), two obnoxious Frenchmen, and one sprained ankle (Tiffany's) later, we're back in the parking lot once again. Wait! We also saw a big light brown bear on the trail! It was so cute! The worst is still ahead: a delirious 4-hour ride home with Tiff's crazy car with all the dashboard instruments going insane.
